The mission of the series Social Change in Switzerland is to communicate the results of research on social change in Switzerland to a wider audience than just the academic world. The editorial board invites potential authors to submit proposals for articles.
This series is published since 2015 at the University of Lausanne by FORS, LINES and the LIVES Centre. As every publication is accompanied by a press release, the articles receive a lot of media attention.
The length of the articles is 8 to 10 pages. They are intended for a non-specialist audience and are written in French or German. The editorial staff organizes the translation into the other language. All articles are evaluated beforehand by the editorial board.
Social Change in Switzerland publishes innovative empirical results that document some aspect of social change or social structure in Switzerland. Previous issues have dealt with, for example, elites in Switzerland, social mobility in the 20th century, educational inequality or the workers' vote since 1970.
Proposals for articles can be sent in the form of an abstract to Daniel Oesch, the editor responsible for Social Change in Switzerland.
