Scientific knowledge and practice

The LIVES Centre promotes dialogue between the academic world and society at large: politics, business, public institutions, associations, the media and the general public. Our researchers generate knowledge on the topic of vulnerabilities during the life course. In collaboration with public and private organizations, we put this knowledge into practice and support the development of innovative social policies based on scientific data.

Le savoir scientifique dans la pratique

The LIVES Centre regularly organises forums and roundtables and invites researchers and specialists from the field to share valuable knowledge and experiences. We also publish policy briefs (LIVES Impact) and Social Change in Switzerland, a series that documents the evolution of Switzerland’s social structure for the general public.
